Fiddler crabs are native to the western Pacific Ocean. They are usually found on mudflats in the intertidal zone where rivers enter the sea.
Feed environment:
A terrarium with a mudflat environment and deeper water is ideal. You can mix fine sand with clay or soil as the substrate, and adding some sea salt to the water may help to provide minerals for the crabs. Some fiddler crab keepers keep their crabs underwater, which we do not recommend.
