The Banana Plant is quite unusual and is sure to be one of the most compelling plants in any aquascape. It is a rosette plant that is named for its large and highly unique roots, which are banana-shaped and remain partially visible above the substrate.
These roots are thick because they are where the plant stores nutrients.
The Banana Plant also features round leaves that range from light to dark green. It is also known by the names "Big Floating Heart" and "Banana Lily."
