A species that is slowly gaining popularity among pet tarantula enthusiasts, and their popularity is on the rise. As their Chinese names describe, their carapaces and feet are sapphire blue-purple. Very beautiful species, but not very common. Breeding is basically the same as Guyana pink toe. Very characteristic bright purple in adults, and purple-gray with black markings in juveniles. Making them always a beautiful and eye-catching pet tarantula larvae are easily startled, and they will either run amok or spray white excrement in response. But their speed is like a walk compared to some arboreal species in other genera.
