-Rhodomyrtus tomentosa (Ait.) Hassk. is widely found in China. It grows on hilly slopes and is an indicator plant for acidic soil, mostly found on red and yellow soil hills.

-Rhodomyrtus tomentosa (Ait.) Hassk. has a compact plant shape and is evergreen all year round. The flowers are white first and then red, with red and white contrasting. It is very beautiful and has a long flowering period. The color of the fruit changes from bright red to sauce red, making it suitable for viewing.The flowering period can last for over 2 months.

-Rhodomyrtus tomentosa (Ait.) Hassk.prefers high temperature and humidity environments, and has strict requirements for winter temperatures. It stops growing below 10 ℃ and cannot safely overwinter when frost occurs.

Flowering period : April to May.

The fruit is a berry, in the shape of an egg shaped pot. When it's ripe, the color is purple black.
