Cryptocoryne wendtii 'green', commonly known as water trumpet, is a very vigorous Cryptocoryne that will grow equally well as an aquarium plant or as a terrarium plant. Cryptocoryne wendtii 'green' is compact in nature and has bright greenleaves. It is suitable for small aquariums with a height from 10-15 cm and a roset from 8-15 cm wide. When grown in an open space the leaves will virtually lie on the bottom. Like most other Sri Lanka Cryptocorynes, it also grows well in hard water. Cryptocoryne wendtii 'green', a great plant for the beginner, it will tolerate almost any condition from low to high light and does not need fertilizer or CO2 although CO2 and fertilization is always a plus when it comes to Aquarium plants.
